Academy Conversion Consultation
Proposed Academy Conversion - September 2018
Conversion to Academy Status as part of St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Academy Trust
The Governing Body of Holy Cross Catholic Primary School has been invited by Bishop Patrick McKinney to begin the process of conversion to an academy as part of St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Academy Trust in the Diocese of Nottingham.
The CMAT will be formed on 1st September 2018 and will bring together twenty two Catholic schools and academies in the Diocese of Nottingham located in Leicester and Leicestershire into a single Catholic Multi Academy Trust.
As part of this process we are required firstly to consult with and inform staff, parents, students, our parishes and wider communities of our intention to convert so that everyone who wishes to has an opportunity to comment on and learn more about what this will mean for our school and Catholic Education in our Diocese. If you would like to comment on our proposals or ask any questions then please do so by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
and include our school/academy name in the subject line of your email.
We are sending out this statement today to our community and a copy will be posted on our school/academy website for the duration of the conversion process together with a Frequently Asked Questions document which we hope will address many of the queries relating to converting to an academy.
Our statutory consultation period is from 13th November 2017 – 8th December 2017.
